On July 28 from 5:30 – 7pm, C.A.R.’s Housing Affordability Fund (HAF) is hosting an Island Luau Virtual Mixology Event to raise money for the fund’s endeavors.

This year, HAF was able to partner with three regional nonprofit housing organizations to provide closing cost grants up to $10,000 for eligible first-time homebuyers from underserved communities. To date, HAF has successfully distributed nearly $400,000 in their goal toward $1 million dollars for the year.

Annual CCAR Charity Golf Tournament – May 10

Get ready to tee off for two fantastic causes, CCAR Helping Hands and the CCAR Scholarship Foundation, at our annual charity Golf Tournament! Dust off your Callaways and TaylorMades for an unforgettable day on the greens of Boundary Oak Golf Course in Walnut Creek on Friday, May 10 at 11:30am.

While you swing for a purpose, enjoy a delicious boxed lunch, and then end the day with a post-tournament dinner and award ceremony, all included for every golfer. For those who prefer to join us later in the evening, “Dinner Only” tickets are also available where you can bid on fantastic raffle prizes and enjoy a cash bar to keep the celebration going!

Missing Tours Due To “Tour Group” Filter

If you use the “Tour Group” filter to run your tour report, you may miss listings on tour from the data share MLSs. The “Tour Group” field within Paragon is tied to the “Area” field; however, the data share MLSs (MetroList, SFAR, BAREIS, and MLSListings ) tours are not. CCAR is working with its MLS vendor to remedy the issue. In the meantime, please use the “CITY” field when searching for listings on tour.

National Code of Ethics Day: Especially Beneficial If Your Real Estate License Expires In 2025

Join us this Thursday, July 7 from 10am – 1pm for National Real Estate Ethics Day®, (via LIVE STREAM). You can get your triennial COE requirement taken care of AND give back to our local communities at the same time as a portion of the proceeds (paid by CCAR) go to the NAR REALTORS® Relief Foundation!

Masks are no longer required for open houses in Alameda County, effective Sat, Jun 25^th. The County is now aligned with State face masking guidance and has rescinded the local Health Order requiring masks in most indoor public settings. Businesses, venue operators, and hosts may choose to continue requiring patrons and workers to wear masks to lower COVID-19 risk in their settings.

In an effort to make ethics violations and the disciplinary process more transparent, C.A.R. is publishing the names of members who are found in violation of the Code of Ethics as well as summaries of the members’ unethical behavior.

Member publication is triggered only if the discipline imposed is a reprimand, fine, suspension or expulsion – anything other than a letter of warning or stand-alone education. The information will be published on the members-only section of car.org.
