Missing Tours Due To “Tour Group” Filter

If you use the “Tour Group” filter to run your tour report, you may miss listings on tour from the data share MLSs. The “Tour Group” field within Paragon is tied to the “Area” field; however, the data share MLSs (MetroList, SFAR, BAREIS, and MLSListings ) tours are not.  CCAR is working with its MLS vendor to remedy the issue. In the meantime, please use the “CITY” field when searching for listings on tour.

Masks are no longer required for open houses in Alameda County, effective Sat, Jun 25th. The County is now aligned with State face masking guidance and has rescinded the local Health Order requiring masks in most indoor public settings. Businesses, venue operators, and hosts may choose to continue requiring patrons and workers to wear masks to lower COVID-19 risk in their settings.

Code of Ethics Violators

In an effort to make ethics violations and the disciplinary process more transparent, C.A.R. is publishing the names of members who are found in violation of the Code of Ethics as well as summaries of the members’ unethical behavior.

Member publication is triggered only if the discipline imposed is a reprimand, fine, suspension or expulsion – anything other than a letter of warning or stand-alone education. The information will be published on the members-only section of car.org.

A Message From Your President

Happy June, everyone! It’s off to a busy start! I hope you are healthy and enjoying the new season! Today, I wanted to draw your attention to a couple of important news items:

  • Special kudos go out to the CCAR Scholarship Foundation for hosting a lovely awards luncheon last Friday honoring 16 local students heading for prestigious colleges and universities. Congratulations go out to this awesome group of up-and-coming leaders, and to Scholarship Foundation Trustees who work so hard every year to find the most deserving students (see trustee list here).
  • I would also like to invite all of you to the YPN Summer Kickoff BBQ this Thursday, June 9th from 2:30 – 5:00pm at Richmond’s Wildcat Canyon Park (register here).
    • Fellow Bikers: You’re invited to join us on a ride to the event (both motorcycles and cars welcomed). Meet us at 1:00pm in Martinez at Alhambra Valley Rd. and Wanda Way (just listen, and you’re sure to find us!)
  • Attend the Pinole City Council meeting tonight at 7pm to voice your opposition in person or on Zoom to a city charter/real estate transfer tax proposal (see article, below).
