As part of an ongoing community engagement effort to seek community input on Danville’s Housing Element Update, the Town has launched a series of virtual community workshops. Participants will learn about the state laws which require the Town’s Housing Element to identify where and how Danville will accommodate existing and projected future housing needs for people of all income groups.
Danville has been mandated to accommodate a minimum of 2,241 new homes for the upcoming 2022-2030 planning period. The Town is encouraging community participation and input so that the final housing plan balances the directive to accommodate growth while preserving Danville’s history and character.
The first in this series of community workshops will be at 10:00am on Saturday, June 12.
Additional workshops are scheduled for:
Tuesday, June 29 at 6 pm,
Thursday, July 8 at 6 pm,

Community members can register in advance for this Virtual Workshop here. Or visit the newly launched www.DanvilleTownTalks.org to learn more about the Housing Element Update, sign up for updates, complete surveys, add comments and register for any of the other workshop dates.
New Statewide Reopening Guidance

While the state is reopening, and business will be easier to conduct, there are still some protocols that will apply, including those concerning groups where there are non-vaccinated individuals present. C.A.R. has prepared FAQs and other documents that provide the information you need to properly conduct business after June 15.
C.A.R. has created an extensive and detailed new Q&A and Quick Guide to ensure that members are in compliance and well-informed with the new rules likely going into effect, including changes for open houses and showings. The Q&A addresses the following issues:
- Physical distancing and cleaning requirements
- Posting rules of entry
- PEADs and other sign-in requirements
- Wearing of masks
- Requiring proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID test results
- Addressing claims of medical and religious exemptions to wearing masks
- Conducting door knocking activities
- Distributing flyers
- Reopening offices
This is still a dynamic situation and more guidance may be issued from the state. We along with C.A.R. will continue to communicate new information about the state’s reopening that may impact your business and update the FAQ as necessary. In the meantime, please check C.A.R.’s COVID website for FAQs and other important information.
