Reminder: State law requires Designated Brokers to complete supervisory sexual harassment training and provide employees with access to training.
Additionally, salespeople, brokers, broker associates, and independent contractors are now personally liable for sexual harassment in professional relationships with clients—even if the relationship has ended.
To stay compliant, C.A.R. strongly recommends completing 1-hour of sexual harassment training immediately and every 2 years thereafter.
Risk Management Tip:

In an effort to make ethics violations and the disciplinary process more transparent, C.A.R. is publishing the names of members who are found in violation of the Code of Ethics as well as summaries of the members’ unethical behavior.

New State Legislation – Sexual Harassment Training Required!
New state legislation requires that Designated Brokers must complete supervisory sexual harassment training and provide employees with access to training. Salespeople, brokers, broker associates and independent contractors are now liable for sexual harassment in professional relationships with clients (whether they have terminated your relationship, or not). Therefore, C.A.R. recommends that you complete 1-hour of sexual harassment training immediately, and 1-hour every 2 years, hereafter. Read more for links to training.
