In Memoriam: Amelia Olson
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Amelia Olson. A devoted REALTOR® with Weichert REALTORS® – America First Team, Amelia was a valued member of CCAR for nearly four decades, having joined in 1986.
A memorial service to honor Amelia’s life and legacy will be held at 11am on Thu., July 31 at St. Bonaventure Church in Clayton. For those who wish to share memories, messages, photos, or condolences, an Ever Loved memorial page has been created in Amelia’s honor here. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Amelia’s family, friends, and colleagues. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In Memoriam: Linda Anderson
We honor the memory of Linda Anderson, a cherished CCAR member and dedicated REALTOR® in our community. Since joining CCAR in 1984, Linda generously gave her time and talent, serving on numerous committees including: Professional Standards, Grievance, and Education. Her commitment to upholding the integrity and professionalism of our industry earned her the distinguished title of C.A.R. Honorary Member for Life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am on Saturday, August 9 at St. Matthew Church in Walnut Creek with a reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall. Linda’s leadership and service left a lasting mark on CCAR and the REALTOR® community, and she will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Title Fraud on the Rise: What You Need to Know
A new survey from the National Association of REALTORS® reveals growing concern over title fraud and deed theft, especially in urban and suburban markets.
63% of REALTOR® association advocates reported awareness of scams in the past year—most involving vacant land, not owner-occupied homes.

The following MLS Rules and Regulations modifications will be effective August 18, 2025.
MLS Rule 10.1.1 Coming Soon Listings
Reasoning: Updated language concerning Coming Soon rules for improved clarity.
MLS Rule 10.2 Reporting of Sales
Reasoning: Added the requirement for Comparable (Comps) Listings to be input within 30 days from the closing date to promote timely and accurate market data.
MLS Rule 11.5 Photographs on the MLS Reporting of Sales
Reasoning: Revised the rule for improved clarity and to better align with current practices regarding photo use.
MLS Rule 12.5.1 Public Remarks Restrictions & Requirements
Reasoning: Removed restrictions on financing language to allow agents more flexibility in providing relevant property details.
