In Memoriam: Joe Fisher
It is with sadness that we share the passing of Joe Fisher on July 1, 2026. Joe served as President of the West Contra Costa Association in 2008 and was a valued member of the real estate industry. He earned his salesperson’s license in 1990, became a broker in 2002, and opened Fisher Realty in Richmond. Joe was also deeply involved in his community and will be remembered for his contributions, dedication, and service to those around him.
Please join us in keeping Joe’s family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed.

C.A.R. Ombudsman Answer Non-Legal Questions
If you’re a member looking to resolve a minor dispute or communication issue with another REALTOR®, a C.A.R. Ombudsman can help! C.A.R. Ombudsmen are REALTORS® who volunteer their time to answer non-legal questions and resolve non-legal disputes.
C.A.R. Ombudsman aim to enhance communication among REALTORS® and can propose resolutions for minor issues raised by clients or other members, avoiding escalation. Some common grievances include claims of possible ethics violations and communication issues, such as misrepresentation and lying, as well as complaints surrounding cancellation of a contract, listing, or escrow.
AI’s Role in Real Estate Live Panel + Breakfast – Aug 4
As AI continues to evolve, its implications for the housing industry are wide-ranging and still unfolding. C.A.R.’s Center for California Real Estate (CCRE) will hold its next panel discussion for C.A.R. members on August 4 from 9:00 – 11:30am at The Commonwealth Club in San Francisco to explore how AI may shape the real estate industry in the years ahead.

New Supra One Features Are Now Available
CCAR members now have access to upgraded features through Supra One, formerly BrokerBay. These enhancements are designed to give brokerages more control, better organization, and improved support for agents.
With the upgrade, brokerages can appoint administrators, manage users and teams, oversee showings and Supra lockboxes, send brokerage announcements, and access expanded administrative tools. The upgrade also includes centralized service and billing management, plus offer management features to help keep listing and showing agents informed throughout the process.
These new Supra One features are available beginning today, with expanded tools to help brokerages streamline operations and better support their agents.
