STEPS Towards Homeownership – Jun. 18
The C.A.R. STEPS Toward Homeownership program tackles housing affordability through the lens of financial literacy—equipping REALTORS® with tools to better serve and educate clients. Many renters still believe a 20% down payment is required to buy a home, but STEPS helps dispel these myths by highlighting programs with much lower requirements.
This newly streamlined and free program will be offered to members via Zoom on June 18, breaking down key topics into digestible sections focused on credit scores, financial planning, down payment assistance, and financing options for low- to moderate-income buyers. It’s designed to support REALTORS® working with renters, first-time buyers, those recovering from financial hardship, and even Baby Boomers helping the next generation purchase homes.
Attendees will gain insights on:
- Financial health strategies
- Economic trends
- Buyer engagement
- Mortgage product knowledge
- Full-process client support
This is a fantastic event that will teach you everything you need to know about helping clients achieve affordable, sustainable homeownership—without requiring REALTORS® to take on additional roles.
We’re proud to share that CCAR Board Member Rolanda Wilson of the NID Housing Counseling Agency will be one of the featured panelists!
