The RAF supports political activities at the local, state, and national levels. It gives REALTORS® the financial resources needed to advocate for policies which protect property rights and REALTORS® ability to effectively conduct their business.
With the traditional wildfire season ramping up and numerous wildfires breaking out across the state, C.A.R. is reminding members about the C.A.R. Disaster Relief Fund. The Disaster Relief Fund provides grants for REALTORS®, employees of REALTORS® and association staff who have experienced property damage and/or loss due to wildfires, or suffered from a recent natural disaster. Grant applications are available by visiting the link below.

Stay Compliant: Master the New and Updated Forms with C.A.R.’s Legal Updates and Free Classes
In July several new and updated standard forms were released in zipForm and other platforms. To ensure you are in compliance with the mandates of the NAR settlement, join C.A.R.’s legal staff for a live update on how to properly use these forms. It is imperative that CCAR members are ready to use the new forms and prepared to discuss the changes with their clients.
Additionally, C.A.R. Education is offering two new classes: a Buyer Representation Form class and a Residential Listing Form class. Members can access these classes for FREE by logging into store.car.org and entering “FORMS49” at checkout.

Important Update: New Required Field for Listing Entry Begins Tomorrow
Starting Wed., Aug. 21, the “Concessions Considered” field will be changing from optional to required. This adjustment was implemented to prevent any potential confusion in listing reports. Previously, if the field was left unanswered, the presence of the field name “Concessions Considered” in the report could imply that sellers might consider concessions. By making this field mandatory, we ensure that a clear “YES” or “NO” will be displayed, eliminating any ambiguity. When updating active or pending listing that have not previously selected an option for this field, users will be prompted to provide an answer. Participants, Subscribers, and their sellers are prohibited from making offers of compensation to buyer brokers and other buyer representatives in the MLS. Participants and Subscribers are prohibited from disclosing in the MLS, in any way, the total commission negotiated between the seller and the listing broker, or total broker compensation (i.e. combined compensation to both listing brokers and buyer brokers). The MLS reserves the right to remove a listing from the MLS database that does not conform to the requirements of this section. This rule does not prevent sellers from offering buyer concessions on the MLS so long as such concessions are not limited to or conditioned on the retention of or payment to a Buyer Broker or other buyer representative.
