Last Month’s Crab Feed Nets Big Catch For Charity!
Members feasted on a sizable catch at CCAR’s annual crab feed last month and raised $11,000 for CCAR Helping Hands and the CCAR Scholarship Foundation as well as $2,000 from a special auction for the Bay Area Rescue Mission. More than 250 CCAR members, affiliates, staff, and their guests enjoyed a buffet of crab and tri-tip while bidding on amazing auctions, raffles, and delicious desserts!

Time to Renew Your Ethics Training – Cycle Ends in 2024
All REALTORS® are required to complete 2.5 hours of ethics training every three years (current cycle is 2022-2024). Training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by NAR.
If you complete the necessary 45-hours of DRE-required continuing education for your license renewal, offered free HERE through C.A.R., between 1/1/2022 and 12/31/2024, you will automatically fulfill the current NAR triennial ethics training requirement. Failure to complete the required training is a violation of membership duty for which membership is suspended in is suspended in January 2025 and subsequently terminated. Certified REALTOR®
It’s easy to find out if you’re due for NAR triennial ethics training. Just sign in to your NAR account, click your name on the upper right, select “Manage Account” and then the “My Education” tab to check your status.

Every April, REALTORS® commemorate the passage of the Fair Housing Act of 1968 and reflect on housing discrimination and segregation, past and present. Fair Housing Month signifies a recommitment to advancing equitable opportunities and expanding homeownership.

MLS Rule Change 10.1.1 – Effective April 8th
The following MLS Rules & Regulation change will go into effect April 8th. This change is being made to further clarify the already existing business rules and functionality of the MLS.
10.1.1 Coming Soon Listings.
It shall be the responsibility of the Broker Participant (Section 4.1.1) and Real Estate Subscriber (Section 4.2.1) to follow said rules when placing a property in the Coming Soon section of the multiple listings service (MLS). Broker Participant and Real Estate Subscriber shall only place a property in the Coming Soon secon of the MLS if the Participant/Subscriber has met the necessary criteria for MLS input as described in Sections 7.5, 7.6, and 8.1. Participant/Subscriber is required to enter a proposed list date to proceed in placing a listing in the Coming Soon section of the MLS. Once the listing moves from Coming Soon to any Active status it cannot revert back to Coming Soon with that same broker. Open House or Broker Tour is not allowed while in coming soon status.
