MLS Data FEEDS
CCAR can deliver MLS data to its MLS Participants and/or Subscribers for use in 3rd party products, websites, and/or back office systems. In most cases, a web developer or vendor handles technical aspects and automated access on behalf of the CCAR MLS Participants and/or Subscribers.
Types of data feeds
IDX (Internet Data Exchange): Internet Data Exchange is the framework that enables MLS participants and subscribers to automatically display each other’s listings on their websites for public search. This feed only contains listing data permitted for public display. Learn more here “IDX Center“
VOW (Virtual Office Website): VOW is a website belonging to a licensed brokerage that does not have a brick and mortar building. This feed contains listing data permitted for public display along with specifically agreed upon confidential data for access by MLS Subscribers in the VOW Brokerage.
BBO (Broker Back Office): A Broker Back Office feed contains approved MLS data for the agreed upon specific use of data the Broker requested. These feeds can be used to power CRMs, accounting platforms, transaction management systems, etc.
Broker Feed (Brokerage Data Only): A Broker feed is similar to a Broker Back Office feed but only contains MLS data entered into the MLS by the requesting Broker. These feeds can be used to power CRMs, accounting platforms, transaction management systems, etc.
AVM (Auto Valuated Model): An AVM is a product that provides automated real property valuations using mathematical modeling combined with a database.
What is the RESO Web API?
The RESO Web API is the modern way to transport data in the real estate industry. It is built on well-known, open technology standards so that any organization can use it to deliver or receive data quickly and efficiently.
Companies are moving away from older, deprecated data transports like RETS, and transitioning to the RESO Web API for its superior technology benefits. Technology companies report faster, more consistent, and easier adoption of new technology systems after converting. They also see much higher standardization of data via RESO’s certification standards for Data Dictionary on the Web API. The Web API is real estate’s path to efficiency and streamlined technology experiences through modern standards.
The RESO Web API moves the industry forward to widely-adopted RESTful design in use by most industries today. The Web API promotes greater access to real estate information directly from the web, mobile, social and other HTTP-based applications.
RESO uses open standards and off-the-shelf tools that are supported across industries. By ensuring standards and protocols like OData at the core of the Web API’s functionality, industry incumbents and newcomers can be assured that they’re building technology that will be well-supported in the future.
