Give Every Agent A Professional Digital Starting Point

A simple onboarding step can benefit new and established agents

Now newer agents don’t have to wait until they have the budget to establish a professional online presence, and more established agents can just add another property-search destination into their existing marketing because every CCAR  member now receives a free branded IDX website. Plus a personalized profile, property search covering 27 Northern California counties, automatic MLS listing updates, lead capture and mobile-friendly design.

Put It Into Practice

One of the easiest ways brokers can help agents get more value from the new CCAR member benefit is to make activation part of the office routine. Dedicate 15 minutes of an upcoming sales meeting to a simple activation check. Then encourage agents to add the link here clients will see it (such as their email signature, social profiles or buyer follow-up communications).

Help Agents Turn Free Tech Benefit Into A Client-Service Tool

One of the most practical applications of the new branded IDX website is also one of the simplest: give buyers the agent’s website as a place to search for homes. Clients can browse current MLS property, save searches, receive listing alerts and interact with lead-capture forms. Those activities create additional opportunities for the agent to understand what a buyer is interested in and follow up.

Brokers can reinforce this habit through coaching. Instead of ending a buyer consult

with, “I’ll send you some listings,” encourage agents to introduce their branded search site as part of the service they provide. For example: “I’ll set up your search, and I’m also going to give you my property-search website. You can use it anytime you want to explore the market, save properties and keep track of homes that interest you.”

That small change helps position the agent’s own professional brand at the center of the client’s search experience.

A New Lead Arrives. What Next?

The new CCARhomes.com technology delivers an opportunity, but it’s the agent that still builds the relationship.

CCARHomes.com has an important distinction for agents: when a consumer discovers a property through the portal, the inquiry is routed directly to the listing agent rather than through a paid competing-agent advertising model. That’s valuable, but receiving an inquiry isn’t the same as converting one. This creates a useful coaching opportunity for brokers: establish a simple office standard for responding to digital inquiries.

3 Steps to Answer a Digital Inquiry

The integrated SaleCore CRM can also capture and organize leads generated through property inquiries, saved searches and contact forms, giving agents a central place to track interactions and property interests.

Try asking agents send themselves a test inquiry. Make sure they know where it appears, confirm notifications are working and practice how they would respond.

JULY 2026 | MONTHLY MARKET rECAP

Contra Costa’s July housing market remained seller-favored, but showed signs of cooling as the summer progressed. Sales activity and prices declined from June, while homes took longer to sell and buyers paid slightly less above asking price. Inventory continued to rise, giving buyers more options, though the market remained firmly tilted toward sellers.
