In Memoriam: Clark E. Wallace 1933-2025

Clark E. Wallace, a beloved local industry icon and national pioneering real estate leader, passed away on February 14, 2025. Born on May 9, 1933, into the renowned Wallace REALTORS® family, he began his distinguished career by joining CCAR in 1959. By 1964, at age 30, he became the youngest President of the Contra Costa Board (Association) of REALTORS® and served CCAR for 66 years—contributing on committees for Pro Standards, Government Affairs, Housing Affordability, and Grievance, earning honors including CCAR REALTOR® of the Year (1973), Emeritus recognition (1990), Honorary Member status, and remaining a perpetual donor to the CCAR Scholarship Foundation.
Expanding his influence, Clark was President of the California Association of REALTORS® in 1978–1979, a long-standing C.A.R. Director, and led the National Association of REALTORS® as its President in 1986, later earning NAR Emeritus status. Appointed California Department of Real Estate Commissioner by Governor Pete Wilson, he also operated his own firm in Orinda and co-founded Bridge Housing to advance affordable housing across California.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 2 at 1:00pm at the Moraga Country Club. For those wishing to send cards of condolence, please email [email protected] for the address. His enduring legacy of innovation, dedication, and service will continue to inspire the real estate community for generations to come.

New Optional “Property Faces” Field Coming to Paragon

Beginning March 3, 2025, Paragon will introduce a new optional field called “Property Faces” on the listing input screen. This field allows listing agents to specify the property’s directional orientation, with selection options including East, North, Northeast, Northwest, South, Southeast, Southwest, and West.
While this field is not required, buyer agents can incorporate it into their search criteria when provided, making it easier to find properties that meet their clients’ preferences. Additionally, the selected direction will be displayed in Listing Reports, offering greater insight to potential homebuyers.
This enhancement is designed to provide more valuable details to assist buyers in their home search. We encourage listing agents to take advantage of this new feature to better showcase their properties!
